In global business it is increasingly important to focus on how to control key information and its safe flow. While these data are essential for the proper functioning of both business and state activities, we are all witnesses that a cyber-attack can easily damage or bend any financial, telecommunication and institutional system in the world.
Given such challenges and potential threats, when it comes to preventing and curbing cyber-attacks no effort is too expensive or demanding. At any time in the world, millions of transactions and information fly over the Internet. Data has become the most valuable object of protection: cyber security in all aspects is something that needs to be assessed, protected and developed at the maximum speed. The cyber space is safe and useful, only when the all the actors involved in a business process are cyber-space aware: without awareness any technical solution to cyber security, loses its significance and effect.
This conference chaired by Confindustria Serbia is one of the first in the Balkan region as such and is inspired by the conscience that we must share our experiences and gather global experts that can show us the path to more a secure future in finance and telecommunication, be it in the world of software or hardware.
The conference focuses on the presence of all stakeholders and intends to become an annual milestone in assessing threats and setting future security trends on the Internet. The conference is the third conference Confindustria Serbia organizes on the digital sphere. After DEC and DIGINDEC conferences organized respectively in 2016 and 2017, “Cyber Security – How to confront new challenges in business and banking sector” wants to provide an insight on yet another impact of the digital sphere on the economy.
This year’s conference will focus on cyber security in the financial sector as well as in telecommunications, while the discussion will also focus on the alliance necessary to raise awareness on security in the cyberspace. Our main goal is to hear from experts and companies dealing with security more about the solutions that they can offer and what are the most important challenges in that domain globally and in the region.
